Heather Stull, Student of the Month, doesn’t back down from a challenge. That’s one of the things Information Technology Adjunct Instructor Renard Spratling said when nominating her for the award. “Heather was a student in two of my development courses and admitted from the beginning that she had no experience with coding and was a little intimidated,” said Spratling. “Heather was also determined to succeed and wanted to challenge herself. Throughout the courses, she proactively communicated with me when she had questions or needed help. We also met via virtual meetings, and I saw improvement week to week. Heather has great potential to succeed both with coding and as a student at det365手机版官网.”
This afternoon, Heather was surprised with an awards ceremony attended by many members of det365手机版官网’s faculty and staff. Instructor Spratling participated via Zoom. Dr. Denise Houchen-Clagett, Vice President of Student Affairs, made the presentation. Congratulations, Heather, and thank you, Instructor Spratling!
